I played at Disley golf course on Sunday with the misses (plays a bit) and my son (plays once maybe twice a year). Me and the misses had played there in May in glorious sunshine, remember that week of summer? The greens were undulating and like lightening. If you were above the hole and missed the putt it was bye bye ball. Well it lashed it down on Saturday almost all day so I expected a wet course, which it was, very wet, but what I didn't expect was incredibly fast greens. The putting green gave up some strange help. Very soft and wet but putts were shooting on by. ?????????? Huh???????? It was exactly the same on the course. Greens were wet, but if you missed a downhill putt, and I don't mean a huge slope just an obvious slight downhill putt, your ball just kept on going. How the hell have the green keepers done this? I was very very impressed. I mean we all don't mind a bit of a squelch round if the greens are ok to putt on, but these were amazing. What a brilliant place to play. It started to get on my misses nerves a bit as when she missed a putt I'd say "that's gone" as we all watched it gently roll 3 meters past. LOL !!!!!
Great course too, with superb views!!!!!!!
