In the 1980's my wife bought me an expensive heavy wool Norwegian sweater.
I have always been reluctant to throw it out as it is superb quality.
I used to wear it occasionally but it has spent nearly all of its life in the drawer.

Looking round the shops recently I now find that they are once again the height of fashion.
I started to wear it and have been given 'trendy' comments by the youngsters.

You realise of course that the word trendy is pretty unfashionable just now!

One word for fashion cycles: suede desert boots... that is all

Sorry, should have said 'hip'

I remember going to meet my intended in a cool mock fur coat, bell bottoms, Chelsea boots and flowery kipper tie to be covered in mucky slush by a passing police car. Still think they did it on purpose.

No..like all quality understated stuff it has stood the test.
A bit like my 35 year old Hunter wellies. The colour has faded, the tread has nearly gone and one of the calf buckles has broken but they are still waterproof. [no wonder the company nearly went bust]

Is it an "arran jumper". I had one of them, didn't last long though. After my mam washed it, she put it on the washing line......... It would have looked good on a Harlem globetrotter, after that.
