Mike this is just an idea, not a bloddy radical idea but one that'll work.

I have subscribed to Golf World for over three years now without a hitch or anything. I set up my quarterly DD and that was that. I've never once since then had any contact with GW or had cause to, every month without fail my GW has landed on the door mat. Delighted.

Why can't Golf Monthly make it this simple. I'm in the process today of having to renew my subscription and I'll have to do it again next year and the year after and the year after that etc etc.

Why can't GM simply do likewise? Why can't you simply take the Monthly or quarterly DD and keep taking it unless I write to you to cancel??? Also I now need to remember to buy a GM this month, or sneak it into the shopping trolley when the wife aint looking.

Just an idea to pass onto your subscriptions department, it may even help retention.

Craw, the direct debit (might not be DD, might be standing order, or may be automatic card payment, who remembers these things) left my account earlier this month. It is annual, but it is automatic (as far as I am aware).

Well mine clearly isn't as I got a letter through telling me it was comming to an end and now I've had another with Mr Harris's face on it expressing how if I had any issues I could contact him the editor.

Could just be a hint to be fair Craw! :D

Mine always rolls over.

Hi Crawford
there are two main options for a sub - 6 monthly direct debit or a one off payment that covers a year (13 issues). It sounds like when you took out your subscription you opted for the later hence why youve had the renwal letter with my ugly mug on it imploring you to sign up again!
Here are the current best prices on both options
