Next saturday just gets worse.

Was up at the club today having a chat, in their wisdom as it is winter, visitor regulations have changed.

Guests may now only tee-off no earlier than 11.30 and members arriving have priority.

This is shite to be frank and leaves us screwed tbh.

May I suggest I try and book us an early tee-time at princes, are you chaps up for that?

I think you have your question answered from last months post.

Shall I change clubs?

Trust me fellas, there is smoke coming out of my ears at this.

Still, princes is awesome so will get onto them to book tee-time for early saturday.

Me & The wife are off to london at 4 on saturday as we were bought theatre tickets as a wedding gift and a dinner has been paid for also hence the need for an early tee-off.

Just checked Metcheck for the forecast......

Could be a cold one guys and possibly wet. Thermals and waterproofs could be the order of the day.

Also packing a torch for the early start and, as it's Princes, a spare ball.

Looking forward to it mate.

This is actually quite a common thing at this time of year. As the daylight starts to reduce, there is less usable daytime for all the golfers who want to play to be able to play. The guys who started at 7am in the summer are now looking to get off almost an hour later. Anyone starting after 1pm may well struggle to get round in adequate light. Clubs have enough problems catering for their members without having to worry about visitors taking up tee times on a busy weekend.

Even during the summer lots of clubs have restrictions on visitors playing times so that the members get the better tee times.

It may not be ideal but it is common at many clubs.

I agree, it is common, we have the same thing, but then, if you turned up at 10 this morning, the tee would have been empty. Lovely mild day, no rain, and any one who wanted to be on the golf course was on it. What is the problem? Clubs must know from past history if they are busy at these times, and I bet most are over conservative.
