Morning all,
Returned home last night from a couple of days of wonderful golf, myself and 7 guys from work booked a break at Brocket Hall in Herts. We managed to get a deal for £99 per person, which included 2 rounds of golf and bed and breakfast, which i have to say was sensational value.
We played the Melbourne course on Sunday afternoon, which has alot of holes over water as it criss-crosses the river Lee on numerous occasions, it has some fantastic feature holes included the par5 18th where you have to get a ferry across the river to get to the 18th green. On Monday morning we played the Palmerston course, which i believe is number 87 in the top 100 courses list, and we were't disappointed, it has some stunning tree lined holes as it winds its way around the estate, and with the sun beating down yesterday it was a real treat.
We stayed in the Melbourne Lodge, which overlooks the 18th on the Palmerton course and the rooms were fantastic, and i have to say we were extremely well looked after, nothing was to much trouble for the staff.
So, if anyone has the chance to play Brocket Hall, especially if you can get a deal like we did, i can't recommend it highly enough.
