Enjoying a bit of a high five moment. After 2 weeks with very little golf, my partner and I went out to play a fousomes knockout (round 2) yesterday and came in winners on 17th. Particularly satisfying as opponents are county foursomes champions and up to now rather pleased with their season. Have to allow them some sympathy as they had to give us 8 shots (ouch!) as they were 14/22, I am 23 and my partner is off a totally legit 30 but really a better player than that. We did have a close game and were all square after 15, both pairs having had some good wins and also squandering a few along the way. After our tee shot into ditch, we thought we had lost par 3 16th, but for some reason they also blew it, We won it and had shot on the relatively easy 17th (stroke index about to be changed) - where they failed to putt out for a half.
Most satisfying was our reception in the clubhouse. Seemed like everyone was pleased we had broken their wining streak.
Bring on the next round!

In first two rounds we met some of the lower handicap players (comparatively) Next time around we won't have so many shots in our favour, but at least we've built up a head of steam.
