Just heard the sad news Karen Ferguson aka Fairway Dodger golf monthly forum has died scaling a Munro on Sky. A Scottish Senior Womans Champion.
I met her at a few Forum meets, she was a great golfer and a lovely person, no airs or graces and down to earth.
Rest In Peace Karen [Fairway Dodger] xx

Ah..Kaz.....too soon Girl, too soon.
Played with Kaz at West Hill H4H..in the rain....we both I cured ourselves and retired to the bar for a couple of hours chat....

Great company....a sad day.

So sorry to read this, had the pleasure of Kaz’s company playing Trump Aberdeen with her and sharing a few drinks in the town that night.

Lovely lady, great golfer, thoughts and prayers to her wife Susan and her family and friends.

R.I.P. Kaz 💙

One of the forum stalwarts for a good few years and came on many of the English and Scottish meets.

Iron maiden, Rangers, golf, munro-bagging and many other interests. She was a very interesting woman and only took golf up again well into her 30's I think, but quickly came down in handicap to very low figures. I think she was a member of nearly every club along the Lothian coast. She was also good for a good old argument on here, who could more than hold her own.

She was a character, and good company.

Her and Val nearly gave me and glyn a dogs licence at Silloth. Good times.

Hope you bagged as many Munro's as possible, Kaz, you will be sorely missed.

Condolences to her wife, family and friends. xx
