That's me.
Last Tuesday in glorious warm sunshine in a singles match went round in 92.
Today in miserable rain and wind in the monthly medal - 115.
Logging on to Metcheck to see when I should play again. :(

I played 9 holes in the lashing down rain at Duxbury Park Chorley and went out 2 under (not mentioning the 10 on the 10th that ruined the card), the following week in glorious sunshine I went round the opening 9 holes 8 over!
I personaly think its mostly in the mind and the rain just makes it a different challenge.
I love playing in the rain, am I weird!!!

I'd rather the rain and wind than hot and humid.

My blood is too thick and my skin is too pale.

It is so much easier to stick a jacket on as opposed to factor 15 - 50 sun cream all over and having to drink loads of water. It's only a matter of time before the sun cream gets in my eyes and all over my clubs.

All bugs come out and stick to the sun cream too.

Not to mention the hayfever.

I'm singing in the rain!

I played bridlington links twice last week when it was red hot,on the thursday I was praying for rain because I was so
dehydrated after drinking the night before, anyway just walked off the 18th when it started to drizzle,it could not have come at a better time,a great day out,and what a clubhouse..beers all round

Pleased its raining from the course point of view. Boy does it need a good drenching. Not a huge fan of starting in the rain when its a competition but tend to be pretty relaxed about it if it starts once I'm out there providing I remembered the umbrella and waterproofs.

I don't mind the rain at all. grips don't seem to slip either.

Mind you the rain we've had yesterday and today will barely touch the parched courses - still, better than a poke in the eye.

I'd rather not play in rain but if it rains then so be it, I'll just get on with it.

Playing in the rain is mostly mental, many people will look to the rain as an excuse for playing badly and in comps I see rain as a better chance of a bigger h'cap cut or a win. There are so many people moaning about the rain in the clubhouse before the start you know that half the field has already posted a bad score before they tee off.

I've had some good rounds in the rain and some bad rounds in perfect conditions, my game is as variable as the weather, if I play well a bit of rain won't make much difference.

You'd have loved playing in the Hever Open early in May then.
Have you ever seen ducks swimming across a fairway?
:D :D :D :D :D

I don't mind playing in rain (we do live in England after all) but I will bloody well moan about it from the first tee to the 18th green.

I remember playing in heavy rain once and the club slipped out my hand and went about 50 yards into the trees. Oops.
