F1 2025 - Note comparisons to other motorsports and previous seasons are allowed in here

Having walked up the banking at Daytona where cars need to to a minimum of 80mph to stop coming down the banking, I can see why Indycars are faster than F1, but then they don't corner like F1 has to so don't run the amount of rear wing F1 does.
I do hope this is a shared thread Op. ;)

First race of MotoGP last weekend. Marc Marquez imperious on the Ducati as expected. I hope it doesn't turn into a one horse race, but it wouldn't surprise me.
It's disappointing that Jorge Martin is out injured till the end of the month at the earliest. Even then he will take some time to recover.

At the moment it looks like the competition has not caught them up.
  • Aprilia - showed some promise, with Ai Ogura having a great first outing.
  • KTM - goodness knows. The whole company is up in the air at the moment.
  • Yamaha - Showing promise, especially with Jack Miller and probably the most likely to improve this year.
  • Honda - Still looking lost, improving but very slowly.

I watched the MotoGP from Argentina yesterday and still looking like it's Marquez all the way. He is such an amazing talent and all the others can battle but he is definitely the one to follow.
Good to see Honda performing better, KTM continue to underperform and Yamaha looked totally lost.
I've very impressed by Ai Ogura in his debut season. Johan Zarco though is the real star for me. Getting results with that Honda that nobody else can manage.
It's sad to see that Jorge Martin is likely to miss the first four races of the season. I'd love to see him on the Aprilia.
Good results in Moto2 for the Brits.
Scott Ogden looking competitive in Moto 3 now he is on a decent bike.

Watched the highlights of the first race

it will be interesting to see if McLaren let their drivers race

It’s prob the only thing that will stop Norris winning

They were pretty consistent last year in letting them race, even when Lando had a (slim) chance of winning the driver’s championship. I like the fact they let them race, hopefully they don’t take each other out as that would likely see a change.

The team won’t care which of them wins if they finish 1-2.

Think it’s the way it should be tbh

I know red bull always appear to have their number 1 and all focus is on him

Would be good to see a number going at it

F1 needs an exciting season
