Eye2 BeCu J grooves ?

Hi all, new to this but here goes,

I bought a set of Ping Eye 2 BeCu irons back in 1997,new fitted by American Golf and from Ping UK, stoped playing them 10 yrs ago because I didn't want to snap any more shafts and lose a head again. A week ago I found them at work and decided to re-shaft and grip again, only to be told I could not use them in club comps. Contacted Ping in UK and gave Serial No and told these clubs were manufactured 1997 and have J grooves and conform to R&A rules and are legal until 2024, they have since sent me a cert to back this up, they say if serial No starts N0000 they are J groove.
There is no + or dot in cavity and the W on the wedge is in same place as the others irons.

What would you do? :mmm:

If anyone moans - show the confirmation.
Whoever said you couldn't use them, ask them to prove it, show you the proof.....

even after ping have sent you a certificate and told you they are fine till 2024? eh if you like them play them!!
