Hey everyone. You may have noticed I have appeared in this months mag getting some help from Top 25 coach Paul Foston. My time with him was incredibly helpful (he also ironed out my chipping and putting issues) but my alignment problem has been a bit hit and miss.

It can vary from hole to hole but I think I may have figured out the reason why. I'm right handed right eye dominant golfer but sometimes I'm putting my left eye in the driving seat when I'm setting up.

Recently came across this video and it was a real 'eye opener' 😂😂😂 so I thought I'd share...

very interesting I do have right eye Dom and aim right.
Just on this I was a crane driver for 30 yrs and had laser surgery on my eyes this improved my vision but almost eliminated my depth perception and ended up with me having to check from both sides my load was set properly as I could not judge from one static point as I could before.

Unfortunately I fell il whilst out playing today but used this approach and for the first six holes where my health wasn't a problem it made a massive difference. Definitely worth thinking about if like me you are prone to hitting it straight right when you think you're lined up properly

Hope your feeling better mate.

Saw you in the mag and enjoyed the article. Hope you're fully fit and back out again soon

Thanks Homer. Still not quite right but getting there. Last two rounds I've been doing ok but got called off for the first one (lightning) and obviously ill this time. Treated myself to a 'short game wizard' series of lessons starting on Thursday so hope to be ok for that. Hope all is well in your world 👍🏽

I'm hugely right eye dominant and can be aiming 30 yards right thinking I'm aligned properly and on target, I have to really focus on my aim when playing competitive golf.
