External media storage - Apple iphones

Hi all

Looking for recommendations on an external media storage solution compatible with Apple products. The wife tried a cheapy USB option but it doesn’t seem the most reliable.

I’d rather buy something fit for purpose than give Apple addition income on upgraded iCloud storage.

I use an IDiskk photo stick. Works really well. 128gb is about £35. 256gb is around £60.

Is that procured online or can you pick them up off the high street (such as curry’s etc)
