Has anyone tried the Explanar swing plane? Struggling with a flat swing and nothing I do seems to help, wondered if anyone had luck with the explanar

Cheers

Never used one but did see one for sale at an auction in the Isle of Wight a few weeks back. It was sat in a field on the viewing day and I had to explain what it was to a few bemused onlookers. Didn't go to the actual auction, so no idea how much it went for.

No idea where you're based, but we have one at our club (brickendon, Herts) sitting at the back of the driving range gathering dust.
If you're at the other end of the country, I also saw one a few years back in the range at Arbroath. Similarly unused/loved.

A slight tangent, but there also used to be a thing where you (or maybe your club) could be attached to some sort of robot arm which would yank you about in the correct fashion.
Never seen one in the flesh, but irrc there was one at a driving range somewhere in docklands/Greenwich.
We were going to buy a session for a mate's 60th, but I think we just went out for a beer instead...

We’ve got one at our club but never seen it used even in lessons. Never used one myself either but that’s through personal preference of wanting more natural feeling.

I just stick an alignment stick in the ground angled with where I want my plane to go under, would also work for wanting to get more upright just swing up the outside instead of under it. A lot cheaper to.

I've used one before. My swing goes very much on the inside on the way back. With the Explanar you can see the arc. When I swing inside it the first couple of feet feel quite natural. Then it feels as if I'm lifting the club up and rotating my left forearm, when all I'm doing is following the arc, a truly weird feeling. I've never had regular access to one but can't help thinking that it would help groove the proper swing.
