A thought just struck me. If the exchange rate with the dollar stays like it is the top courses in the UK are gonna be rammed with yanks. And, I believe, it's bad enough as it is.

Some spark that's brighter than me (not tricky) may be able to work out if it's cheaper to buy stuff from the States, even with import costs.....

What’s the problem exactly?
Translated, it will be cheap for US golfers to come across to the UK as the exchange rate greatly benefits them. What might have cost them £1000 last year may cost them £800 now (I haven't checked the vailidity of this, I'm just trying to make the point) That means more golfers playing the premium courses, it's why they come across, likely driving already inflated prices even higher.

Apologies if you knew this already and were making a different point.

I got that bit.

Just think how expensive the new drivers will be in GBP. Inflation + high shipping costs from china + import tariffs now we are outside EU + weak pound.

TM Stealth 2 could be £999.99

If it's coming from China or America, it will be one of those, then it would have import duties anyway.

The exchange rate will have a major impact though, no question.

Wrong way round but it is a vaild suggestion. When I wanted a rangefinder, the pound was very strong against the euro and the prices in the two markets had not been changed by Nikon to reflect the exchange rates.
I walked into a camera shop in Brussels where the guy gave me a good price because he had bought a lot for a local club and had two left. With that offer and the exchange rate, I paid £116 for the £190 basic Nikon.
