So there I am looking and reading about how Big Phil goes about his business to then read the examples and see the diagrams once again talk about a right handed player.

How can the magazine use a left handed player as the example and then be that small minded to put all of their explanations and diagrams from a right handed perspective.

Does anyone know anywhere you can go as a lefty to get tips instead of constantly reading stuff and find yourself having to "delete right and insert left" as well as "delete left and insert right" in your own mind whilst reading?????

Its a real pain in the neck. Also down right rude to us lefties. If the guy plays left handed show the diagrams the same way.

Did you know Phil is really right handed. But play golf left handed?

Simple explanation, most people are right handed, so it makes sense to show the right handed graphics ,
You lefties are well used to turning things around so they work for you, while us non lefties would be left utterly confused and dumbfounded if we had to try....

Look upon it as you guys doing us guys a favour :)

Happy to help , no need to thank me :)

We have a guy at work that does everything left handed. Writing, mouse operation, tea drinking e.t.c. He even played county level tennis left handed. Plays golf off 12 right handed, and even he doesn't know why.

It's because you lefties are far more capable of converting!

We righties are not as capable of converting, so have to be helped with our disability!

Noticed that for first time tonight when he was marking scorecard right handed

Learned to play golf watching his Dad. By all accounts he would stand facing his Dad and copy him so became a mirror image, hence playing left handed. There are a couple of guys who can knock it round almost as well both handed but not sure if Phil is one of those?

Just holding a left handed club looks strange to me. I f I tried to hit a ball with one I would probably rupture my self. I can put left handed with a right handed grip but that is about it.

Phil learned by reversing a right handed swing, must be easy enough?:D

FWIW, I'm a lefty playing righty because all the hand me downs and jumble sale junk as a kid were righty

I tie ties backwards for a similar reason. My brother taught me, and I mirrored what he was doing.

I've heard that he can play to scratch right handed.....God don't you just hate these people :sbox:

I used to play with 2 guys that played the opposite way round, didn't realise until I noticed them filling in their scorecards.

My mate is left handed but plays right. I think it really helps as he is left dominant which is a good thing playing right handed. I on the other hand are very right dominated which can cause some major issues. We had similar grips with the right hand in a far too strong position. Didn't effect him much as his left hand/arm dominated. In my case if caused terrible hooks as my right side took over and corrected itself.

I am left handed but when I started playing golf about 10 years ago it just felt natural to play right handed. Trying to play golf left handed seems as awkward as trying to write right handed.
