Ex Sky customers; anyone else had this?

Came in to a letter today from Sky TV telling me they've checked my account and there is an outstanding credit of £17.78 owed to me, and how would I like it repaid. The how I'm not so worried about; the when would be more pertinent, seeing as we jacked them in for Virgin in September 2010!!! :angry:

Just wonder how many other people's refunds they've been sitting on for this time & how much money they've made, or why, this long after, they suddenly decided they needed to check my account? Certainly reinforces why I'm an ex-customer.

Sounds like a scam to me. I'd be having a Google to see what's what.

Pretty sure I've heard of this before, its a scam.

friend who left them 3 years ago recieved a letter saying he was owed 48p and to phone to tell them how to repay it! as they already know all his details why dont they just pay it into his bank? it smells rotten this one, maybe not a scam but its shocking CS
