I went to our practice area this morning its about 170 yards long and has a green at the end with 2 flags.
Having been down there a lot in the winter as soon as its light enough I was really struggling to get 110 yards with a wedge I believe due to the cold conditions I suppose,i suspect it was about 5 degrees or so.
Today at 6am it was 15 degrees and a wedge was going comfortably 122+.
I then practiced 90,75,65 55 and found it nigh on impossible to stop the ball quickly when a couple of weeks back the ground was slightly softer I could.
I understand from my dad our course has hardened up considerably just in the last 2 days and is running so fast.
I believe practicing in condition regularly where they are changing constantly really can help.
I was down the range at 6am and the course already had 2 groups on it,may hay why the sun shines I say.
Do you try to keep on top of your game when condition are changing and whats the earliest you have been on a course playing.
