With the clocks going forward in a few weeks and the evenings already getting lighter it will be easier to get a round in after work.

Have to say the evening has always been my favorite time to play golf.

Midweek stablefords start soon too at my place, my biggest disappointment of the season so far is i'm working for our first major of the year on the 6th April

Couldn't agree more Shaun. Stayed with my brother last summer when we were moving house and waiting for exchange and he's based out in Medmenham with the RAF.
Had a lovely little course near him called Harleyford GC and we'd go out in the evenings from 6 and play our 18 with no one else out there with the summer sun closing down for the day. Truly nothing better!

I like evening golf, but the favourite time is first thing in the morning, and I mean first thing. Watching the world wake up around you, can't beat it.

I know what you mean but our course does not open that early to allow the green keepers time to get round first.

Would like to try to get a round in before work but do not think the course would be open

Oh yes, 6:30 tee off as the sun is rising and the dew is burning off the grass... Back in the clubhouse for a sausage bap by 10:30 at the latest

we can tee off at 8.30PM mid summer and get 18 in - love evening golf. early golf is also great, once the dew clears.

Roll on summer and proper golf.

Oddsocks your not too far from me, when that daylight saving kicks in we'll have to host each other at our respective clubs if your keen

Already light enough to get in a good nine hole practice after work with a buddy and can just about get 18 in solo as long as I'm off to the course as soon as I get in.
Tuesday rool up starts in April after the clocks go forward which is a great evening of fun golf and games.

Don't get to play too often in the evening due to having two kids to contend with at home. Work shifts tho and play a lot first thing in the morning after a night shift, you can't beat it. I can clock out work at 6am and be on the 1st tee by 6:15, course to ourselves, full 18holes , then back in clubhouse for a roll & sausage before 9am and miss out on having to do the school run. Magic !!!

Hoping to play bit more in the evenings this year tho as divot jnr's been keen to get playing so I'm planning on taking him up to play a few holes a couple of nights each week when the course is a bit quieter.

Counting down the days til the clocks go forward. I love getting out in a Wednesday evening to play the stableford comp.

I remember being on the Shetland Islands a couple of years ago in July. I reckon you could be on the course 20 hours of the day up there in summer time. On the flip side, you wouldn't get much golf in during winter.
