Would you buy your holiday money now or wait till after June the 8th. Or will it make no difference? Currently about 1.16 EUR to the pound.

We're a lot worse off than 2 years back when it was close to 1.40.

The money men know that TM will win so it will have no impact, in effect the currency is already trading as it would with a TM victory so if she gets one it will not matter. If the election was close than currency would get a little nervy and it could move either way depending on the result but that is not the case here. Trade now or June 9th, it wont matter.

If the currency does move significantly between now and then the change will be due to other factors, not the election. Chaos theory reigns in currency markets, which is why you should never believe the guff they spout about it.

If you can guarantee a Tory landslide, which I'm not convinced of, I'd wait. I'm getting 1.19 via one of the specialist currency companies, not your Post Office counter thing.

This time last year I got €1.28, whereas before Christmas it was €1.11. Nice to see it going up again.
