First Friday off with nothing to do for a while. Decided to sit down after being in town and catch some 2nd Day European Tour action as I often am left chasing highlights. Saw about 8 shots (ok a wee bit more than that)and 2 ad breaks and now they gone off air before the leaders have even got off the practice range.

Glad I'm not paying for it.

For pretty much all of their euro coverage it's a couple of hours morning and afternoon for the first two days.

Beggars can't be choosers...

Yeah but with that level of coverage I'm not likely to ever become a chooser either. Ok the main event is the weekend but sometime nice to watch the early rounds to see the courses and how players are looking.

Cancelled my sky a few years ago due to costs and was watching via Now TV week pass I'd been given which runs out today. Had used it for the masters having forgotten about the BBC coverage (which I then wether to avoid ads)

The pga tour has a facility available to subscribers in the US to follow groups round the whole course in addition to whatever coverage the golf channel or terrestrial broadcaster is churning out. Reading comments from us forums it's pretty popular for the reasons you mentioned.

I would imagine the tech and infrastructure would be in place for the euro tour to do the same, but I wonder if enough people would use it to make it worthwhile. Also, suspect that sky would take a pretty dim view of it.
