realistically 141,000,000 is a shed load of money and if you are honest with yourself way way to much for anyone single person to win.

So, how much would you need to :-

  1. Live comfortably, paying any debt, but still having to work?
  2. Quit your day job and never work again?
  3. Totally change your life and that of your family and friends?

LAst one is pretty simple, 141 million, but what about the other two?

1. To be honest, whilst not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination we get by and are happy with our lot so maybe the equivalent of an extra 10k per year.
2. On top of service pensions perhaps the equivalent of 20k per year.
3. 30 mill would be more than adequate.

Edit - having just checked my numbers, does anyone know what you get for one lucky star?

1. Don't actually have any debt or mortgage so probably £250,000 would be plenty for luxuries, continuing to live my relatively simple life.
2. Minimum of 2 million. 4 if I was to let HID give up work as well.

3. This is the tricky one. There's been far too many horror stories where people win a huge sum and their friends and family look on them differently. For this reason I would give close friends and family £100,000 each. This should be enough. So don't want, or need any more than £20,000,000.

I'd want the full 141m I'd look after only those who have looked after me also my immediate family would never have to worry an then I'd party for a while then travel

If the jackpot is 141m, I would need 142m.

In fact, no one won! So jackpot is now 157m! I would need 158 then....

For me:-

  1. To live comfortably and still work - £250,000, mortgage paid, sufficient money in the bank for whatever.
  2. To quit work, probably 2million, enough to invest, some to live on and the rest to squander.
  3. I honestly would not want 150 million, I like my life as it is now, with the people who are in my life. 150 million changes everything, no matter how hard you tried eventually news of your windfall would come out.

£100,000 would be enough for me to call it a day at work...
Though I have just signed up for another year so I'd honour that first...
£5M should be enough to set up my two lads for the rest of their days...
As much as is on offer to 'look after' my entire family and others important to me ...

Think I'd give the £57m away to friends/family and good causes & charity etc and live off the rest. Play a lot of golf and just enjoy my family and the good times.

Dam it someone always beats me to it. I would probably build my dream home near my golf club and invest a small fortune in the club along with a private golf cart just to get me there. I'd insist on a private parking space as well as it gets very busy on a weekend

I suppose you'd be Captain as well!!
