Euro golf course / rates

Looking for a last minute getaway in May with the wife and obviously will be taking the clubs.

Any recommendations on courses to consider. We're only looking to go to Spain or the Balarics as we don't want a longer flight.

Between islands the costs seem vary from 50e to 100e, I assume due to course quality?

On the mainland there is so much choice. We're booking the holiday through a travel agent friend of mine so we'll be in a resort so the course needs to be just a short cab ride away.

You should give Mar Menor a go...no taxi required there or if you want to try some other courses they are all pretty much within a max 25 euro taxi fare.

I live here in Spain and if you need any help in choosing where, let me know. Some of the best ways are to book in with a Society...you get much better rates and you can always get a lift, no need to hire a taxi.

Golf here in Spain, if you walk in off of the street is fairly expensive. If you don't eant to play with a society, I can put you in touch with a local golf shop that does Green fee bookings. http://www.galaxygolfco.com/
