So not much chat on this it seems ?

Anyone watch any of the matches this morning ?

Impressive performances from some and some cracking golf

Dubisson did very well to keep playing

Can see a good 8 of these players in the upcoming Ryder Cup

I'm looking forward to catching up on the highlights tonight. Wife's in Ireland visiting the folks all weekend, so its just me , Sky Sports and a few beers tonight ! lt will be good to see which young Europeans shine.

Will probably watch some highlights later, particularly the Lowry Sullivan partnership - think that could be a strong Ryder Cup one. Also interested to see how Willet and Fitzpatrick fair for the remainder of the event. Although they lost today, think both would make the RC if their performances this year are as good as 2015.

I watched it all early this morning live, some excellent contests and some great shots and then immediate replies from both teams, rumour has it the pairs are staying the same for the Foursomes tomorrow.

Darren was very happy with everyone's performances, just hope Victor & Danny come through physio and treatment OK to play tomorrow.

Also think that Lowry and Sullivan could be a good pairing.

Watched the highlights and yes some good golf played just a shame the atmosphere is not there, more like a warm up for the Ryder cup.

Good to see both team outfits are nice compared to just Europes in the RC.

I found it a little sad that nobody could be bothered to turn up.

They very rarely have crowds of note in Asia - some watch on Fridays

Just watching it now. Agree with the comments about the crowds. I thought the game was growing in Asia?

Maybe if a decent amount of locals turned up then the Asian players might feed off of the support and possibly play a bit better?

Just a thought...

What a waste of time and effort........

Gives a number of them exposure to team play - allows the Ryder Cup captain to see potential partnerships for the forthcoming Ryder Cup , allows the players to gain a bit of expirence in a format rarely played in the Pro Game

Both this and the previous Seve Trophy have shown the players and captain they are worth the time and effort

Oh sorry but you seemed to have forgotten money......

Money?! Yes the 'prize money' both teams get to share (win or lose)......

Yep nearly 5 mil u.s up for grabs

Clarke’s team will attempt to win the EurAsia Cup for the first time after the inaugural contest, also played at Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in March 2014, ended in a thrilling 10-10 draw. With the teams increased from ten players to 12, the second edition will now feature 24 matches rather than 20, with day one consisting of six fourball matches, followed by six foursomes matches on day two and 12 singles matches on the final day. The winning team will share prize money of US$3.6 million while the runners-up will share US$1.2 million.

I'd look interested too for £200k all expenses paid too as a warm up before the desert.......

With the overwhelmingly one-sided scoreline was this a case of Europe playing really, Asia playing badly or simply that the 2 sides are not evenly matched..?
18.5 - 5.5 - a bit of a walkover.
Will Clarke have learned anything?
Doesn't look like Europe were put under much pressure

The pairings were much tighter matches but the singles was a demolition derby, Lee Westwood bagging a dog licence, Poults and Andy Sullivan both winning comfortably, I think for some of those like Andy and Matt it would have been an excellent team experience being around some old heads and still needing to get the job done, I thought the tweaking Darren did after day 1 with the pairs was good and showed good captaincy and worked well, so, overall, irrelevant of the finishing result, I think if you just learn something however small from it, you've learn't and it was worth it.

Well done Europe
