Going to see "The Boss", but he doesnt have a support band and comes on stage at 6.30.

Getting there quickly in rush hour, would you recommend going the M56 or the M62 from Liverpool?

Guess it will be the M60 where the main problem lies with this in mind the junction with the M62 is a pain at the best of times so go M56 and around the south past airport.

Get the rattler from south parkway then a little 15 minute stroll into the ground. Last train back is about 11:15 iirc.

Am envious.........seen him a few times, including at the Etihad. Have a great time, and even though he has cut down on the length of his show, there is a reason why he doesn't have any support......he plays for almost 4 hours without any real break! First time I saw him at Wembley in 1985 he was onstage for over 5 hours. Incredible show...enjoy it.

Seen him 2-3 years ago there as well for the first time, which is why were going again. Great entertainer, and just like the Eagles, dont have support but do a great 3 hour show.

Stuey, which train do you get and what station to get off? We're you wrapped up in an escort, last time?;)

Managed to get an early dart now, so can possibly do both options.

No escort to city mate.

SPway - Piccadilly. Come out of piccadilly station turn right and walk towards the centre and turn right up the side of cafe Nero. Up the top of the street there's a toysrus you need to walk up the left hand side of that and just carry on going straight up, you'll see it.

You'll be able to have a bottle of white lightening on the train aswell

Might be missing summat here but the trams go all the way to the Etihad now, not sure of the numbers though so no need to walk.
PS, don't be passing any wind on my seat boys.

Straight down the 62. Don't do 56. It'll go slow at j12 for the 60 but once you're through that, accidents permitting, it should be fine. Took me 30 mins from getting on the 57 to get to j12 the past 2 nights. There'll be a fair few more thousand cars on the road though all going in the same direction so plan for that!

Neither was the M56. Apparently massive queues to get off. The M62 was slow from Warrington due to breakdowns on the M60. Seem to flow after j12 but the warnings signs were up for the M602. Tram chaos was due to road accidents on/near tramlines!

He was due on at 6:30 for a 3.5hr set but I know their license was set for 11pm so hopefully if people were delayed, so was his start time.

I swear, everytime I leave work early if I have something on, traffic carnage ensues.

You should move to the countryside, very peaceful!

I picked the wrong option - M56. Got within 15 miles of the stadium and doing well, but took 1hr 30 to do that 15 miles.

Only missed 10 minutes of him on stage, though.

Away match parking experience kicked in well though, only about 200 yards from the turnstiles:-
