Strange on this one...

I love my golf I really do, but I've played badly for so long now that I can't understand how I seem to always have this 'eternal optimism' that I can fix my game and make it better and put a good card in.

Now after 12 months of bad golf should I still have this optimism to want to visit the practise round and get on the course...??? :D

Not quite at the point of no return just yet... ;)

If you love the game and want to play well, surely you've got
to carry on playing,I was reading Homer posts last night and
I could'nt help but "feel" for the guy,but they make it
harder for themselves everytime they go out to play golf. Why
not just go out there and play for fun..whats the point of
aiming for goals you cant reach?..handicaps are in your head
you can have an handicap of 12 and still play a 20h game..
enjoy the game for what it is..a game of golf

Worked for me. Penultimate round (medal next weekend) before putting the clubs away and went round in 75 for 43 points (+2 out for 21 points and back in +3 for 22). If I'd waited to play the second part of the comp today I'd have finished on 74 in total and be 2nd now. Nice way to sign off though
