Hi All,

Anyone use ESC Golf to buy shafts or anything. I just want to be sure these guys are on the up and up as the invoice they sent me is vague...

Thanks

Alex

I've bought a couple of items, but nothing that wasn't verifiable. Always seemed fine.

Not my favourite folk. I also knew them in an earlier (non-Ebay) incarnation. A mate, who was a competitor, has a slightly harsher view of them!

Shaft prices have always seemed too expensive to me. Especially those with adapters.

Btw. Invoice? Pre-delivery? The only physical paperwork I normally get is with the goods. Maybe just the way they do their accounting/shipping within Ebay. I've tended to ignore those sort of notifications as each seller does things slightly differently.

I've bought clothing in the past and they've been fine BUT have always suspected some shill bidding without being able to prove it!

I guess you guys all got the feeling I got then.... They have changed the invoice for me to be specific. The reason its done with invoice is because I made a "best offer" and they accepted it.

They have confirmed flex, adapter type and shaft length so seems all good....

...

there does seem to be an air of suspicion to about them but nothing factual.

When the 'long putter' boom happened, they were suddenly offering loads of 'long' versions of putters that had never been offered in such a style!

I believe they buy adapters in bulk and simply fit them onto shafts as and when. Absolutely nothing wrong with that though - that's exactly what someone would have to do! I'm still in glued-in mode!

Hope shaft works for you.

more importantly what you bought????

Well I am not technically allowed to buy any golf clubs in 2014(my own resolution)... But I have got a Graphite Design Tour AD YS-Q Stiff Driver Shaft & Adapter Titleist 913, Golf Pride Tour Velvet Grip. I have used this bad boy for years in my 909 D2 and after not feeling the love for the Diamana S+ (soon to be in the for sale section) I thought I would grab one of these for the 913 D2.

It was actually pretty cheap!

I think as you've broken your resolution you should suffer a +1 shot penalty on your handicap. :D

Cant say im surprised, should be a good option for you I think.

That said having seen your 913 it looked to me like the head not the shaft that was damaged :o

(sorry bud couldnt resist lol)

Cold! Hows that chip on your wedge?!

Ye, The graphite Design seems a little softer in the tip and easier to release, or nicer to release for me. I like the solid feel or the S+ but it feels so hitty in comparison. I had just finished selling the 913 to my brother too, shame he had not paid!

I have read that anyone can hit the YSQ in any flex and they will all feel friendly, its just what spin and launch you get out of them.

been refinished by the manufacturer :D

Think the shaft will be good for you based on the 909, might get you to commit to it and sell the 909 too :)

I am not sure that either driver is really sellable.... But ye, it would be nice to commit to it... its whatever though.

Glad you asked that question as i've recently been wondering the same thing - seen a shaft I would like to try so asked a couple of questions through ebay and got an odd response that just said "null" almost like an automated response. Found it very odd so emailed the guy direct although i've not had any reply as of yet.

Bought off before , via eBay
Goods are Fine , if a little pricey
Normally very Poor Comms Skills............I mean Rarely answer emails
By that I mean general questions emails
But were quick to answer when I had a fault/complaint

Bought a R11 fairway a while back , head was chipped , but still wrapped , exchanged without problem , shaft had 'after-market' adapter fitted............

Hmm non of that fills me with confidence...

I bought a driver from them years ago, an R5 from memory. When it arrived the shaft was snapped, but the box was undamage:o they reckoned it was damaged in transit. It took ages to get it replaced, I wouldn't use them again! !
