Not for me. There are many better devices on the market like the 3Bays GSA and Swingbyte that, for less money, will give a huge amount of more valuable information. Google them and do a comparison - Skycaddie have just launched a new device too that looks really good.

I think you really have to beware what your buying with these new gadgets. Whether your happy, or ultimately sad, will depend on what you want from the device. From my quick reading when a new one comes out many of them perform the swing mechnics analysis, but not all of them gather the same data, not all of them do a distance calculation for your shots so can't be used to gap your bag etc.

Ultimately only you will know what you want to gain from having one of these devices for practice.

I have one and I have to say, though I was sceptical even when I was paying for it, it is unerringly accurate. Firstly, you have to accept that it only does what it says. It gives you the distance you hit with each club. It doesn't measure spin rate and therefore flight path. For that you need high tech cameras etc which cost a lot more. This product works on measuring the speed of the ball. You key in the club you are using and hit the ball. It tells you the ball speed and then calculates how far the ball has travelled based on the club you used. This raises one issue, a question I asked before I bought. If you use it on the range, it will only measure the ball speed of the ball you are using ie the range ball, which are often 80% or so distance balls, so it will not give you your accurate distances for a real ball. However, I have a cage net using real balls and even in the 3 metres the ball has travelled before it hits the net the ES12 has it measured.
To test the accuracy, I used the one shot I have that I know is very consistent. A half wedge, which always goes 84 yards. I turned the unit on, keyed in wedge, hit the shot and the unit said 84 yards.
It will also send your stats to your smart phone / tablet. Not something I use very much, but could be useful.
For me, it has proved to be a great tool. I have an Optishot cheapo simulator and an old Vector Pro launch monitor and the ES12 is the best of the lot. I use it on every practice session. It gives great feedback, especially when I am working on different swing moves and it has undoubtably helped improve my golf. I have no affiliation. If you can regularly practice where you can use real balls, even in a net and you want good feedback, I can recommend it. Got mine off eBay from a guy in Antrim. Very helpful and very quick delivery. Any questions, feel free to ask.

I have just had a look at the web page via the OP link and I see they have swing analysis now. I can't comment on this as I haven't tried it, but I will now:)
