I've been a lover of golf for a few years now, but i've only really started participating in the last 3 months.

What golf equipment do you have and would recommend?

Big help needed.

Thanks
Hannah :D

I'd by yourself a 7 iron - any make - and hit loads and loads of balls so that you learn what is YOUR swing.

Once you've got your swing, you can start buying irons/woods, etc.

Welcome to the forum. :D

I go along with AW. Get a cheap club or two and then get some lessons. nce you get the basics right and get a good solid swing it makes choosing clubs much easier. Whatever you do I hope you enjoy getting ito golf. Out of interest whereabouts are you and where do you play/practice

Thanks for the advice,l it's much appreciated.

The gear I have got is the standard £99 stuff from Sorts Direct, embarrassing, YES! But I have to start somewhere.

Where is the best place to get equipment from?

Online like direct golf or in a shop like American Golf?

For the last few years I have been buying golf clubs online due to the massive savings. Sites I have used are direct golf and sports direct. Not sure if this helps but i've always have great service at a good price.

I'm in favour of try before you buy, so first port of call has to be pro shop, ag, dg, nevadabob - somewhere with a range so that you can swing them. don't neglect the second hand racks. keep going back until you wear out the welcome.

most say they will match online prices (but not ebay) - sometimes they do, so worth looking
