Enville, Brockton Hall and Beau Desert....

Guess depends on where you will be living - they are quite a distance apart

I have only played Brockett Hall and they have two lovely courses but are currently treating members like dirt - the company that owned the courses went into admin and been bought out - all life members have been cancelled.

Beau Desert is beautiful. The epitome of 'hidden gem'. That said, I don't know how difficult it is to get in. You may have to jump through a few hoops. Good luck !

BD and Enville are both very good. 2 courses at Enville, been on my hitlist to play for a while. They have a scratch open which I might look at.

We have a forum member who plays at Enville but can't remember who, may be able to give you a few pointers when he sees this thread

Just looked at the Beau Desert website and the course looks stunning, but what a ridiculous name for a Golf course in England!
What a bizarre thing to say, how is it a strange name for a golf club after its named from the house and land it was built on.Should it have been called The Edge of Cannock Chase Golf Club?

No need to be so condescending, I clearly didn't know the history. To the uninitiated (me), it sounded like some Americanised made up nonsense, that's all.

Hi,
I've played all 3 courses several times.
Beau Desert is one of my favourite courses & it would be a great place to join.
Enville has the advantage of 2 really good courses & has the benefit of fantastic practice facilities & lovely new clubhouse.
Brocton is a nice course but not in the same league as the other 2 imho

Like you I have played the three several times and would completely agree with your assessment of the courses.

Practice facilities and off-course I think Enville has the edge plus the benefit of having two courses but I would be happy if I had to play all my golf at either Beau or Enville .

I'd be going to enville if I lived nearer. Love it there. Obviously you will visit each club and course and make your mind up.

Beau is superb and the clubhouse and practice facility great.
I have not played Brocton yet.
Enville as others have said, has two courses and great practice areas. The big plus for Enville is the two quality courses. You would need to be a neutral to say if Beau was better but both courses are excellent in my view. The clubhouse is not new, just has a new spike bar which is excellent.

If you need to try Enville before you decide, let me know.
