Enniscrone is a super track. Well worth a visit.

I've only played the second course there which is a 9 hole course, it was €30 to play it twice during the week & I thought it was a good course. The 18 is supposed to be an excellent course, a very difficult link course, costs €60 during the week, €75 at weekends.
Played it a couple of years ago and it does have some of the most incredible links holes you'll ever play set in towering dunes.
Some of these are new holes put in a few years back as the original 18 played on the flatter land at the bottom. I suppose if you were being a little harsh you might say that the new holes are so fantastic they make the original ones seem tame in comparison, but that would be quite a harsh assessment.
I do know they have just done some work there to soften the approach to the 1st green set in the dunes as it had perhaps become a little too difficult an opener for average golfers.
Well worth a visit and the pro there (if it's still the same one) is a charming gent who is absolutely passionate about the game.
