Enjoyed myself

Its not Homer bashing thats easy ,i think your a bit of a drama queen mate thats all ,poor me with a sore back i cant play blah blah blah then you play the next day and its the usual rubbish anyway IGNORE form now on

It was sore so didn't play. No drama just a statement of fact. Forgot I had to get my posts checked for editorial content. Funny thing was I was under the impression it was an open forum and so as long as it didn't infringe guidelines on language/behaviour I was pretty much free to write what I wanted. No one holding a gun to your head to make you read it and after 17000+ posts I'd have thought you'd know what you'd be getting by now. Ignore would be the simplest answer and I won't be losing any sleep if you don't read anything else

Am I the only one who sees the irony in saying we're all free to write what we want but then not being happy when our posts get slagged off?? :D :D

Well this all turned into a bit of a have a dig at Homer post didn't it. For what it's worth I like reading about other's golfing exploits and I actually thought this one was quite positive for Homer :D

There's a hell of a lot of repetition goes on on this forum but no-one ever seems to moan about that. Personally, If I read the original post and I'm not interested I just ignore it and move on, having a go at the OP seems an un-necessary waste of time to me.

Trouble is, you have just summed up my golf for the last 5 years as well. Everything hurts Saturday night and 7am Sunday I am pulling into the club car park full of the joys of spring (and 2 co codomol)- it isn't just HJS!

Co Codomol is not for muscle pain, you talking about a hang over? :D

Having a bit of lunch with Iris and Apple, they asked me to post the following:

"Hello to you Mr Homer, it please me very much to read about your golf game and how it make you enjoy good long time. I am be very happy for you and hope you make post more about how you are healthy and make golf round good. You smile, make me smile, everybodies make smile"

I don't think that I have "got on my high horse" You have every right to criticise Homers postings if you want. If you want to post stuff about your bad back I will happily read that too. Homers old and ugly enough to defend himself, but my position on this is that I dont find Homers postings in any way a problem, I read what he writes and accept the postings for what it is - I just dont see the need for anyone to be rude to him.

i don't come on here bleating about my sore back i cant play ,then the next day go and play he talks thru a hole in his arse .

Lets get this sorted. Not bleating just a statement it was sore. No great issue other than uncomfy on full driver swings and getting the ball out the hole. Not life and death but just a bit painful.

Secondly more than happy to take a bit of stick if justified but just to coming on and poking a hole because I said my back hurt Sunday and I played Monday hardly seems the biggest thing to worry about. It is hardly crime of the century. There have been times when I've posted and deserved the brickbats. This isn't one of them

Ironically the post was about playing on a deserted course, in glorious weather (shirt sleeves) and hitting it well in patches for a change

I noticed Homer teed off at 1:15 and the course was dead. I made the mistake of going up to my course in the morning and it was full of the nearly dead. Perhaps I should follow Homer's lead and wait until the afternoon. Trouble is once I've got it in my head that I am going to play I cannot concentrate on anything else.

Monday afternoon is usually the best time at my place. We have a lot of the seniors that go out every Monday morning in two different roll ups and so the course does tend to be fairly busy but once they've gone out (usually the last lot are off by 11.30) it dies down. Obviously in the summer a few more will take half days etc to get a game in and it won't be as quiet but there is normally a summertime lull between 2.30-4.00 once those coming up from work or after some lunch have gone out and before those sneaking off early get there. Still ideal for a solo round, a couple of balls and some on course practice

End of the day some people are going to find certain peoples posts dull and unintresting but to others they will enjoy reading about them and find them intresting.

Thats just the way it is.

But i don't think it warrants somone getting stick over it.

If you find someones posts, dull or irritating just ignore them and get on with it rather than announcing on the forum "i'm ignoring you" more than once.

All abit school playground if you ask me :P :)
