Has anyone seen that the Challenge Tour event in England this year is at Heythrop Park?

Suprising, hardly a great course!

It's got nothing to do with quality of course Sam, it's all about money!

Just think Belfry, Celtic Manor..........

And the last RC played on the fourth best course in Auchterarder.

Aye money talks right enough!

Belfry is a half decent course.

spoke to Burnham this week, will sort my membership out then end of March.

You hit the nail on the head there! Tour events, RC's etc should be played on the best courses, not half decent ones.

Good man sorting out Burnham, I think you'll enjoy going down there. Like I said, you'll probably end up taking mates most of the time and share the driving, keeps the costs down

As much as I enjoy Auchterarder it's not even close in terms of quality when compared to the PGA course. That 4th best course in Auchterarder is just a nonsense statement and I cringe any time I hear it. The PGA is a great course, it's different in terms of character and also a different turf to the Kings and Queens but still a top track.

If you want to have a dig at a Ryder Cup venue then look no further than Celtic Manor. That is a poor track and not even as good as the PGA in my opinion. Granted, I played it in the rain and it was very soggy underfoot but I didn't think much of it at all!

I'd argue the Belfry is the best of the 3 though

I may have been a little harsh about the PGA, just not to my taste when compared with The Kings & Queens, but I really think It is stretching it to call the PGA a great course.

I certainly agree about Celtic Manor. Just one long, wet and uninteresting slog.

The Brabazon has two or three really good holes but otherwise, condition exceoted, is nothing special.

True, all about opinions.

I played PGA again last year in a charity day, 5th time I've played it and it grows every time I play it. Quite a strategic course, if you plot your way round you really start to appreciate what it's all about. Par 3's are excellent.
