England u21 v Spain u21

I started watching the game at 9 minutes, so saw the Spain goal. After seeing another 10-15 mins I got bored and turned off!

I couldn't believe it, was like watching the full England team. Meaning - when England got the ball they promptly lost it again, Spain had it for a few MINUTES, we got it back and then gave it away after a few SECONDS!

Why can't the coaches see the problem staring them in the face, and get them playing differently?

If that's our future England team..... well, I'm lost for words!

Yeah, rant over. :o

Golfmmad.

We are miles behind Spain, did you see the champions league final? Fantastic football. Football should be switched to the "summer" and all the foreign played sent home. Then in about 20 years, with better caoches, we might catch up.
How many times do you hear shouted at a kiddies match "LAUNCH IT!" LOL

The only young English player that is up to the standard set by Spain is Jack Wilshere. An exceptional talent that should be playing in that tournament now.

I think that the FA has finally learned what the good continental Football Bodies have known for years. You have to nurture the skill, Gareth Southgate has finally got them to introduce a no 11 a side until 13 years of age strategy. 30 years too late mind you!

Eventually this will pay off because youngsters will learn the skills before discovering it is easy to hoof a long ball over the top and a fast forward runs onto it.
