Uncle Roy is still wheeling out James Milner ,Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson. Not forgetting a half fit Daniel Sturridge. It's not the 80's we don't have to have a squad full of Liverpool players do we ??? I'll give him Nathaniel Clyne though !!!!!!

Are they not worthy of selection then ? Any reason why ?

Lallana has done very little across the season but is ok now. Henderson is just a nothing player. Milner is a professional busy body again with little real functionality for a team with high aims.

Not getting in to who's better than who, wouldn't take Sturridge, let him rest and make sure he's available fo the Euro's,

Good on him giving Drinkwater a run out, Stones is off form, shouldn't be in first 11, Walcott, not for me,

Keep in mind Stones in managed by Martinez who just doesn't get defending. I think it's important for Hodgson to see Stones turn out in a team of his style before he decides if the form is partly down to the system at Everton.

James Milner - has he ever performed for England , ever ??? Been there done that time to move on from him in my opinion ?

Adam Lallana - In my opinion , flatters to deceive. High energy, poor output. Headless chicken, runs up dark alleys. Yet to find his best position.

Jordan Henderson - IN retrospect deserves to be in the squad but , again in my opinion , on current form has been surpassed by Drinkwater, Dier and Noble in his position

Daniel Sturridge - doesn't need to be in a friendly squad, just needs to get fit and stay fit. If he can he's on the plane. If he gets injured on England duty LFC and their fans would go mad.

It's all subjective and i'm happy to be convinced why Lallana and Milner especially are worthy of selection.

You could be right, but Stones was outstanding last year under Martinez, not a great fan of martinez tbh

So who does he choose instead of Llama and Milner?

Why not have a look at someone else who's untried , who's playing well ,in form and not at a perceived "big " club. Potential suggestions off the top of my head would be Mark Noble, Nathan Redmond, Marc Albrighton, James Ward-Prowse, Josh King and Jesse Lingard . Sure there's other options too .

Would hope that Hodgson has learned his lesson in regards Sturridge

Milner provides cover for the whole midfield area and Lallana provides creativity in the attacking areas and is a player on form right now as is Milner - who else would you pick instead ?

For alternatives see my previous post. The utility player argument about Milner just doesn't wash with me i'm afraid and i would suggest that if he wasn't playing for Liverpool that you'd agree with me and millions of others. If he's the way forward then god help us all. My argument with regards to Lallana stands , he flatters to deceive, lack of end product and is a total headless chicken.

Milner is a solid player that every squad has - someone that will provide legs and energy and box to box plus much more - never been his biggest fan but he has done well for us. He played week in week out for a City squad that won the league twice and in amongst many world class players and was in the England squad then as well. Right now he is a squad player for England who will fill a number of roles.

Lallana has a lot of skill but has struggled with injuries and consistency - in the last month he has been one of our best players in the middle of a good run of form and has provided end product to the energy and quick feet.

Not mentioned any player that could see replace those two.

Must say with my hammers head on id of gave cresswell a call up and noble tbh. Antonio is worth a look at as its a friendly .

Not sure why Noble has never been given a call up but then I'm not sure if he offers anything different or more than what's in there.

Cresswell seems a very good player but LB looks a strong position for England
