Hi
my home course is Leven Links and great article in golf monthly 100yr anniversary edition, what was in magazine 100 yrs ago where a guy describes his favourite hole as being the 18th at leven links. He describes the scoonie burn running round the 18th green quote " as enevitable as death " just thought 100 yrs later and nothing has changed that hole has stood the test of time and new equipment lol

Great hole and nice course. I bet its tough to get near the pin when the wind blows in a championship! Fantastic clubhouse.

Played Leven many, many years ago and absolutely loved it. That 18th hole has got to be one of the toughest par 4's you'll play anyway.
It would be bad enough if that burn wasn't there!

Much prefer that type of links where there's less goarse and you can find your ball. First few holes are good there though the rain was horizontal when we played and I was more concerned by where my clubs were landing than the ball and surroundings :)

Leven can be a tough track as normally the wind blowing from somewhere, but i think thats what i love about it never plays the same you can be hitting a three wood into a par 3 one day and a seven iron the next, i think the 18th was voted 2nd toughest finishing hole in scotland in some poll or other, its a cracking hole but can be a card wrecker tough par 4 to finish but its been like that for the last 100 years.

Yes it's great. Wish I lived that way for golf. How much are your fees there? I played lundin 2 days later and lost 9 nxt tours in the first 9 holes. My mates still rip me about that weekly! Too much goarse at your next door neighbours!

The fees at leven around £420 a year, its good value for a cracking links course actually 2 clubs run the links a joint committee between the thistle golf club and leven golfing society both are good clubs and not much differance being a member of either or, visitors made very welcome in both clubs.
