Hi everyone,

I have recently brought a new driver as I usually tee off with my 7 wood, and get great distance, however I am wanting to step it up a gear and start adding new shots to my game. ANYWAY!!!

I keep wanging my driver off to the left!

I couldn't get in with my pro today and am off to the range in the morning before a round in the afternoon, any advise would be grand! so long as its FREE!!!

you right or left handed, to be honest without looking at your swing it would be hard to say, try pushing the hands slightly forward at address, this is not a fix just a short term solution that MAY help.

I have exactly the same problem, your not alone as its a common fault for us amateurs.

You could be leaving the face open at impact or sweeping across the ball?? Its hard to say without seeing the swing.

Do they start straight and then go left? or just slice off straight away??

most of the time ,if it`s going left is because ur takin it too far inside on the way back ..place a coin 6-8 inches behind the ball and make sure u draw the club over the top of the coin ..as the guys have also said it could be a number of faults ,but that seems to be the most common..good luck ...let us all know how u get on down the range...swing easy

Thanks for your feedback guys. They tend to start straight and i think 'sweet' then all of a sudden boom, it goes left. I've tried different swing planes but trying to find a middle ground between a hook and a fade seems, impossible. about 1 in 6!

If you are right handed you are pulling or hooking or hitting a draw that perhaps you were not ready for.If left handed you are hitting a slice/cut/fade etc both cases need different corrections but only if seen!!! So go to a pro or a competent golfer for help.

If you have trouble knowing right from left write it on your hands lol. :D
