Would you guys think....'lazy ba##ard' if someone my ages busted around your course with one of these bad boys???

Some look pretty smooth and I like the whole not carrying or pulling gimmick!

you do use less energy, 36 holes is a lot easier and rounds are often quicker (all other factors being equal), but there's no guarantee of improving your game.

I am thinking of getting one as I am knacked by the 16th and I loose focus of my game and just try and slug everything which is not only bag for my game but can be dangerous and carrying all my winter gear is a nightmare.

I have one and Im still a junior, I use it mainly in the summer holidays when playing from dawn till dusk, this makes life a lot easier, :). I do however carry in the winter because it saves the hassle of driving the trolley around all of those guiding white lines, plus its normally quicker in the winter and I dont have to clean it. :)

You have to remember to keep charging the battery.
And, if you arrive at the course only to realise that the battery is still on charge in the garage, it is quite embarrassing. :D
Talks from experience. :(

yes, battery manufacturers recommend charging before storage and topping up the charge at least monthly.
(it's to do with sulphation, crystals forming on the plates, which starts to occur once the level of charge begins to fall)

I've used one for over a year now, when i'm not carrying. Thedifference is immeasureable.
Only thing i can think of that would be an improvement would be a leggy blonde scandanavian caddy, so if there's any out there, i can give you free board and lodgings :D

Good luck Parmo!

On the trolleys, I'm 25 and had a Powakaddy bought to me last Christmas. Great things and definitely worth having if you can afford one. I must admit I alternate pretty much 50/50 between carrying and cart but I'm leaning more towards the cart these days!

Despite me having a Hillbilly stolen a few years ago (I only used it twice and got it cheap because my wife knows somebody that works in the factory) I have always preferred to carry my bag. Even in the Algarve or Spain when buggies seemed the order of the day, I still walked and carried...something about "smelling the roses?"
But as my knees have taken a pounding over the years (football) I find that after 12 holes or so (depending on the course of course!) I am now getting weary.
So it looks like I will be ordering a GoKart in the spring. Won't be playing too much golf during the winter months to warrant me buying one yet.
It doesn't seem that long ago that a group of us used to regularly invade the east coast of Scotland and play two rounds a day for six days on the trot walking!!
Jeez that used to knacker us out but we did it.
I couldn't play one round of golf a day for six days on the trot now
