Hi guys. After recent issues with my stewart F1 I have decided to go for a more conventional trolley. I would prefer a remote trolley(not alot on the market) but am open to recommendations. I was looking at a motocaddy m1 for its compactness.

Motocaddy S1 - simple to collapse and erect , no complications in regards modes etc

Had mine for 4 years with zero issues.

Great trolley

That said HID got me a Motocaddy M3 as a wedding anniversary/birthday present and very small when folded up Fits in a Fiesta boot with ease. I use the Go Kart for the winter as it already had the hedgehog winter wheels and didn't see the need to invest c£80 on Motocaddy ones

I was considering the m3 but thought what's the point of splashing extra cash when the m1 can do the same thing..........or have I got it wrong????

The M3 just has more functions on LCD in the same way the S3 has compared to the S1

I'd personally recommend the Gokart. Nice, simple, small and easy to put up and down combines with excellent after sales service although the M1 is very appealing on the compact side of things. Once you go for more feature you introduce more to go wrong.

This is my full cart bag along with the Gokart in a Kia Rio boot and can close with the parcel shelf in place to give you an idea of size.

GK would be my starting point especially with their after sales service

Earlier this week I arranged my second service after 4 years of loving my trolley and their CS.

I asked if I could pay a bit extra so that I could have the service nearly a month after the due date to take in a weekend I'm not playing, and also to do a colour change.

No problem, no extra charge. Quite simply, they rock!

Worth pointing out though, there is no due date for the service of a Gokart.

Fair enough, but I wanted to be sure that I wasn't outside my warranty time, which would have been next week.

I guess some people might not go for the service until they have to, but I try to do it as soon as possible because they are so good with their after care service that and I'd hate to take advantage.

I too would recommend the GoKart, not a remote trolley I know but the auto speed handle is a bonus and it goes in a nice straight line.

What are the advantages of a remote trolly over a conventional one in a normal round of golf that justifies the extra expense?

I've got a PowaKaddy Classic that I bought from a senior at my club who was changing to a ride-on. I've had it about 4 or 5 years, and Mac had it for at least that long before me. The battery is charged as required, it's never really cleaned, never really serviced, gets kicked quite often, lives in a leaky cold shed at the club and it's never let me down.

Not bad for the £80 I paid :)

Another vote for GoKart. I went for the Automatic as I'd read good reviews about both the trolley but also the customer service from GK. As it happened the one I got developed a glitch in only its 2nd outing. I rang GK on the Monday, they had a demo model with me on the Tuesday with the other being picked up at the same time. They fixed my one and collected their demo within a week. All in all very satisfied with both the trolley and the service that i've received.
