I'm looking into getting an electric trolley and golf bag, the last few rounds I've played I've felt the last few holes a little more than usual costing me a few shots, especially when visiting more hillier courses.

Any advice on what NOT to get or look at due to personal experiences and what to look at as a must?

These will be second-hand NOT new so the trolley & bag might be together or separate purchases, I will be preferring a waterproof or as weather protected as much as possible cart bag or a bag that will still sit comfortably on a trolley but could be carried also!

Been looking at the evil bay but its a minefield and most trolleys due to size & weight are collection only so I need to be sure of the brands I can trust from all your personal experiences.

Fire away

Motocaddy S1 - simple to use , easy to fold up and down , lightweight

Never had an issue with mine

Funny you should say that, just come across a Motocaddy s1 Digital Golf Trolley not too far away from me, currently at £50 but haven't got a clue what would be a decent price to go to?

Any got or had a Powakaddy Freeway Titanium Sport electric golf trolley to give me any opinions on it?

Seems most trolleys are around the £50 mark, obviously they could go up in the auctions but with most being collection only, it suppresses the price slightly so hopeful of grabbing a bargain.

Had a powakaddy trollyes and bought the deluxe bag fish, bag great but very heavy ,trolly did my head as bulky when folded down tbh and the battery way to big. Sold trolly and got a 3 wheel push and not much difference apart when pushing up hills! Electric great if you can get 1 that folds down small . If you go push trolly powakaddy twinline 4 looks a lot better then the one I bought so next purchase for me.

I have owned 2 models, a gokart and a powerbug

personally I preferred the powerbug. Bought it 2nd hand and had for nigh on 2 years, sold to a club member qwho apart from replacing the battery and is still using it 12 month on. I liked the ease of use, folds up easily (not the smallest but not massive either), good customer support and spares online via their website.

The gokart although decent I didnt like the battery fitment or look if I am honest.

I am sure others will point you in the direction of other makes/models

Cheers Steve, will do a search on the powerbug.

When I motorised I went remote control. I got a Protrollrey remote & it's the next best thing to having a caddy. In the winter you never need to take the remote out of your pocket. It's been 100℅ reliable, with the exception of a replacement part for the handle, which was supplied within 24 hours. Customer service is excellent. I first of all bought an ex demo model & liked it so much I traded it in for a newer model. It's online sales only but there is a website showing feedback and nearly all of it is positive. You see used ones on EBay from time to time very cheap.

Personally had nightmare service from Motocaddy after numerous problems with one of their trolleys. Too many plastic parts especially joints that snapped imo and wouldnt have another one personally. Replaced it with a golfstream revolution, a little heavier and way better build quality (come from a small English company in Kent, service levels have been exemplary)

As for bags, have an H2NO cart bag and wouldnt swap it, especially on days like today, everything inside completely bone dry despite the torrential rain
