I would have said Coral sea as we stayed there but if you check the news a 4/5 year old girl drown in there swimming pool over the weekend and her body was given to her dad in a towel and he waited 4 hours for an ambulance to come. Very sad news.

Personally I hated the locals. The complex was great though but if you are as in-patient as I am you will be wanting to punch heads after a day or two.

Good luck

we have been 3 times, twice to the hyatt regency in 06 & 07 . last october we went to jaz mirabel beach which would be more suitable for kids.
personally i think the place has lost all appeal, stay away from naama bay.

Aghhhhh Naama bay what a great place that was. Some Pratt tried to prevent us leaving his shop until I turned into the Hulk ha ha

Took my good lady to Egypt for her 50th and stayed at the Sonesta Beach Hotel, fantastic place, really safe for kids so long as you keep an eye out for them in the swimming pools.
Check it out on trip advisor!!!!!

Went a couple of years ago, stayed in a Hilton. It's about 5 min walk from the Main Street of bars and restaurants so nice and quiet. Had about 7 pools with slides etc. great restaurants in the hotel itself. Would highly recommend.

I would look at saving yourself a fortune and having a nicer holiday in Turkey. We went for two weeks at the end of March and it was fantastic. Lots for the kids to do with 3 pools onsite, a games room with pool, video games and table football and the staff were amazing with the kids.
Can't wait to go back and at £1600 for 5 of us for 2 weeks all inc it was a steal.

I love Egypt and looking at booking a holiday end of July/August but it will be just too hot. Stayed in naama bay ten years ago and was one of the best holidays we've ever had, although a lot changes in that time! Also stayed in taba further north at the Hyatt regency and that was amazing.

After shopping around turkey looks like the best value for money.

If you want to hang around a pool with your family and keep warm then I agree with earlier post. Go to Center Parks.

This.

I am just back from a fantastic week in Turkey. Also been to Egypt off peak so can compare the two. Turkey every single day of the week and twice on Sundays for me. Nicer people. More to do. Cheaper. More westernised and geared to tourism. Better food and 100% safe.

Green Forest, hisaronu is one that's hard to beat, plenty for kids in the local area. All inclusive. On the edge of a village with shops so quiet but with night and day life nearby if you wanted it. And great deals if you can go slightly off peak.

Any parent who leaves a 4/5 year old kid unattended in a pool needs their head punched!

+1 for me too. Went to Sharm in 07 to the Mirabel Park. Lovely hotel and price then was mega cheap but price has rose massively in last few years. For VFM Turkey is def way forward. I am off to Turkey on 8th June for 2 weeks.

Did any of you mentioning Turkey stop in Marmaris? I'm off tomorrow, never been before. Staying at the Blue Bay Platinum. Gets good reviews on Trip advisor. But still a little apprehensive
