My wife played in her first ever club match (mixed Greensomes) at the weekend. She was nervous as hell, but we won 3 & 2 :-). Just go out and enjoy it, don't worry about the result.

I was giving one shot. Was 2 up on the 16th, lost the 17th but won the 18th. Was nervous at anything at first but enjoyed it. Shame work is getting in the way though and I can't play again for the team until the end of July.

Remember my first club match. I was in our 20 section and we were playing Maidenhead. I partnered a pal in 4-ball better ball and could hardly hold the driver on the first tee such were the nerves.

I love inter-club matches and as others have said, they're great to be involved in. Well done on your win too!

Well done. Winning is great but winning a very tight match on the 18th is GRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTT :-)

I've nowt exciting to report so letting the ladies down! Struggling to win anything at all off 6 but looking forward to some scratch matches!
