The BBC have done a story in which it has printed the top 10 jokes from the up and coming comedians. I honestly have heard better one liners at a wake.
How some of this drivel can be classed as humour is beyond me.

Tim Vine is the master of the one liner and is usually in the top gag line up. If you ever get the chance to see him then do it. Very, very funny. Flag hippos and pen behind the ear are just surreal bits of entertainment.

I see Alex Salmond's 15 shows are sold out and they are looking for additional venues/space to satisfy demand.
I would imagine 'uncut Salmond' would be pretty witty and interesting.

Interesting maybe but, based on reported remarks, quite far from witty.

Loved sturgeon's comment "sometimes Alex isn't as funny as he thinks he is" :)

I just wonder who the promoters "dropped" from a prime spot at a high profile venue. You don't just waltz into a slot at the Assembly Rooms during the Fringe. Someone, somewhere is going to be mightily pissed off at losing that slot.

From what I here it was arranged from last year.
All monies raised will be going to charity, quite a sizeable sum when added up.
Someone bid £1000. for lunch with Salmond and David Davis after their show.

Probably would have gone a lot higher if it was just Alex.
