I'm going to be in Edinburgh on Monday 17th July for meetings with business associates from the States. They are two really keen golfers and it looks like we might have enough free time on the Monday morning to go for a round.
I'm looking to tap into the forum wisdom for recommendations for somewhere good to grab a game.
We're staying in the city centre but I'll have my car with me so travelling a bit won't be too much hassle. The only stipulation would be that we'll need hire clubs for two people wherever we play as I don't think the guys will be bringing their own with them.
We all play to a decent standard - these guys play every weekend and regularly get invited to Pebble Beach etc so I'm hoping for somewhere that will make a good impression without having to pay through the nose! Last time they were in Scotland I took them round Machrihanish (my home course) and they loved it.
