Is anyone with them and if so how have you found their customer service? Please tell me it's not really rubbish.

Mother-in-Laws gas and electric is with them. Flat is empty as she's had to go into care after Father-in-Law died.

Have been giving them up to date readings since October when we took over running the account for Mother-in-Law and apparently they've now raised a bill from the 28/8/14 to 18/2/15. Things is we've bills with correct reads on the 4/7/14, 18/9/14, 26/10/14 and two more up to 15/12/14 so how the heck can they do a bill from the 28th August:confused: They emailed me on the 18/2, I've replied and had no response and I still can't see the bill online. Oh, and live chat is busy every time I've tried over the last few days.

I'd suggest you give them another accurate reading now!

I'm with SSE and they 'reject' any reading not provided within 14 days of their billing. Power/Gas companies seem to have a billing cycle that they just stick to.

Can't help on the C/S sorry.

If you're on twitter, ask questions publicly, they hate awkward public questions

Sorry, I forgot to put in they had an accurate reading on the 18th Feb but I had to do that over the live chat as they'd done estimated readings on the 9th Feb (but no bill and noptification!!) that was higher than the actual reads.

That's consistent with my experience with SSE - and others in the past.

They do estimates until they get a real reading, then adjust. So frequent/bill aligned actual readings are the secret. They have saved costs by turning customers into meter-readers!

And if they have real contact, as with you on 18th, they could well re-align the billing to that date/reading - a fairly reasonable thing to do, but something that requires another bill to be issued. So you could get swamped with paperwork unless you make a note on the bill already issued!

Chellie, when you've said you've had previous bills with correct readings, may I ask if you mean you've paid them?
If so, I would fight them, your family has been through enough without some faceless company causeing issues for you.

They've been paid for the bills up to 15th December (even though they didn't issue it until the 30th December) as they were all correct. If I get nowhere with live chat I will post on Twitter like you said Paul. No rhyme or reason why they should issue a bill with such random bloody dates on.

That's awful, I would give them hell, and demand an apology.

Currently on live chat and OMG it is hard work. I'm now emailing them pictures of the meter readings over. The ones I gave them on Monday:rolleyes:

Chellie,

Did you get it sorted?

S

Thanks for asking:) Would appear that is has been sorted according to the email I got this morning detailing everything that will show in the bill. Won't be able to view the actual bill for a few days though. No explanation of why they were doing a bill from the 28th August though and they did try saying they'd had no meter reads from the 3rd December at first.

Have spent another half hour on live chat sorting out the latest meter reads again. Now sorting out why they've sent a message saying they'll take out £50 more than the bill:rolleyes:
