Just as well it didn't start yesterday as it was nearly 50mph winds up here ,some of my mates played and it was impossible balls moving on the greens

The Eden is easier!!! it wasn't yesterday, not out until 3.12 today on the New, it will be nearly dark when I get in.

how long are you planning on taking then, 7 hours plus ?????

if you though the Eden was hard its just as well you are not playing the Jubilee;)

You need to have a word Gordon they've got you down as English

I had that word, all sorted now Simon :D

Still blowing a hoolie today but not quite as bad as yesterday, winds are more like 30mph but the ball is still moving on the greens.

Well I had a proper game of 2 halves on the New course, 59 on the front nine not helped by a 13 when I got stuck in a bunker and couldn't get it out, in fact I took 38 shots on the first 5 holes, but 43 on the back nine was far more respectable.

I actually hit the ball pretty well throughout the round, but didn't get any breaks early on.

toughen up man ..we play comps up here all the time in winds like this ..;)

And you wear skirts instead of trews and eat fried Mars Bars! Doesn't mean it's sensible!

FWIW, I spent 3 and a half years in Scotland occasionally playing comps in pretty breezy conditions. Certainly 'interesting'! The natives thought we were daft, and we were the only ones out there, when we played The New Course in one particular 'breeze'! They were a little more sympathetic when we stated that 'it was free!'!

Yes good round Gordon. Keep it going, and if you make the final I will fly up and caddie for you.:)

Another good round from Gordon on the New this time. Out in nine over, and then back in two under. Hopefully 80 and 78 will get him into the knockout.

I wonder what way the wind was blowing..... ;)

Virtually no wind at all this morning, just hit 3 bad shots on the front 9 which led to a quadruple and 2 doubles.

Thanks for all the messages of support although I'm actually hoping I don't make the KO's otherwise I won't be allowed to play in the medal event on the Jubilee which I have not yet managed to get on.

I'm sure you'll make the most of it whatever happens. Well played, annoying when a few bad shots prove so costly!
