I have worn Ecco golf shoes for at least four years now. For me they are the best, most comfortable and waterproof golf shoes I have ever owned and far better than FJs in my opinion. One word of caution however, make sure they fit. this years shoes are about half a size (UK) small.
Incidentally I wear Ecco everyday shoes too.
I've had a pair for about a month. I wanted a new pair for the winter and had bundles of money in the pro shop. My dryjoys have lost their waterproofing after a couple of winters and the Eccos were £85 down from £125 so bargian I thought.
They fit very nicely and are very comfy too so cant complain at all. They are goretex which gives them a lifetime guarantee so its all gravy.
Never really got sold on the desings but I understand they are very good and comy shoes that really do a good job at keeping your feet dry. I've never had any problems with my icons or dryjoys which is why I never feel the need to buy other than FJ but if you are in the market for new shoes I guess these could be worth a look.
Thanks for the info guys, will try to find a stockist as I definitely want to try them on first.
Bought a pair of dryjoys last year but they have gone really slack and I feel like I am sliding around in them.
I have to say that, top notch build and fit though I am sure they are, to my eyes the ecco range look like something a 1950s GP might prescribe to a patient along with corrective calipers.
