Ecco Biom G2 Golf Shoe

Really, how well the non Goretex version has worn and how waterproof are they ? In addition how long have you had yours and your view on them.
Cheers, much appreciated

Ive only worn the non gortex a few times and not in the rain (not played in the rain for months, until this weekend) been wearing the spikeless bioM most of this year.

wore the Gortex on Sat at Nairn and Sunday in heavy rain at Gleneagles.. it was very wet underfoot there and feet stayed dry. had these for over a year.

Ive 6 pairs of Ecco and very happy with all of them.

I have a few pairs of the non gortex variety and they are fine but I dont tend to get a lot of rain here....

Having said that I played last week in Barcelona and it wasn't raining but had been very wet the previous few days. I was a little concerned that they might slip but they were fine and in the main dry. The only place where it did let in some damp was at the top and front of the shoe where the stitching meets the eyelets for the laces. But then that was due to traipsing through the wet rough looking for my partners ball! I did not find that it was an issue and an overnight air dry in the hotel room and they were back to normal next day.

I agree with Patrick...I have several pairs of them and very happy with them....and so comfortable!

Love my ecco's, and waterproof providing you are sensible, they are not wellies, so if you wander around in soaking ankle deep wet grass, water will find it's way into the shoe, eventually.

The only downside is the smell. They absolutely stink, non of my other golf shoes do, I have aired them, sprayed with odour eater stuff etc, but still they pong.

I also have both he Goretex & Hydromax versions of this shoe. I did find out from Ecco that once the Hydromax shoes get wet they have to dry out naturally before they are worn again otherwise they will not be waterproof.
On another point i don't find that the Ecco soft spikes last very long.
