ebay scam? - advice needed

bought a driver on Monday, got an email within minutes saying it had been dispatched, but it hasn't arrived.

the seller said they were sending it via Parcelforce 48 and it should have arrived Tuesday or Wednesday. I mailed him on Thursday and yesterday. Got a response this afternoon saying "Wait till monday or tuesday it has been sent if u dont get u can have refund from PayPal because they haven t released funds yet"

the seller has a low feedback score as a seller and has a couple of negative comments, one saying "Paid over a week ago and still not been sent. Sent a message, no response."

am I being scammed and if so, what's the best course of action?

Wait until Monday if nothing then open an eBay dispute as long as you paid by PayPal you will get a full refund they virtually always side with the buyer these days.

As above. It is also why you should always pay through PayPal. It gives you protection.

deffo do this within your messages.

you won't be able to open a dispute in the resolution centre until 9 or 10 days has passed. Once you can, and if it hasn't arrived, open one straight away and you'll be refunded almost instantly. Don't leave the seller alone though, keep informing him it hasn't arrived, etc.

how do I get his phone number and address? On ebay I only see his user id, on paypal, I can only see his name and email address.

seems unlikely. he maintains he sent it last Monday, but despite me querying it on Thursday, he has not checked with the courier? Seems a bit dodgy, just hope I am wrong.

Kind of serious question but why buy golf stuff off eBay from someone with poor feedback and bad comments?
