I've been selling a few bits and bobs recently and there seems to be a lot of winning bidders not paying me, it's becoming a lot more frequent. I'm think eBay need to strike them off if they don't pay and don't respond to messages.

Not usually a problem but ebay are not that bothered. Everything is in the buyers favour.

So what is eBay response?

They have opened a case, but they really don't favour the seller.
People in question have 100% records, I'd understand if it was a mistake but to not answer email really gets my goat

For the sake of quick sales, I list as Buy it Nows with a little extra on top of what I want, ensuring that the 'make offer' option is on. And if ya set that to auto-decline under a certain amount you'll come close to getting what you want.

Just had the very same thing, sold a hybrid & the chap hasn't paid and hasn't responded to messages, I will leave negative feedback and re-list, its all you can do.

It's all in buyer favour not only ebay paypal too HiD just had to refund on an item returned damaged 106 days after sale but paypal sided with the buyer!

Seem to be hearing more n more problems regarding ebay of late......

I sold a driver cpl months ago and its first thing ive sold on ebay since they and paypal seperated...club sold and was waiting for money to go in paypal account and 5 days later buyer asked if item had been sent,i told them was waiting for payment from them to which they said had been paid for straight away..

When i looked into it it had been paid but paypal was holding it as 'pending payment' which basically they hold your money till buyer receives item...sooo i sent the item out and 4 weeks later still no money so rang paypal and they told me there had been a problem with my details so money had gone back into buyers account grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ...so they sent an email to ask them to make payment again but luckily i had buyers details and managed to sort it out between us without any problems so now wont sell on ebay again sold cpl items since on Gumtree...

I've had no issues so far but I'm a very irregular user.

I did just sell a Titleist 915 D3 driver recently and started at 99p, got lots of requests for a buy it now price and I said if I can clear £200 after fees I'll be happy, no-one took me up on it and the bidding shot past £200 with 3 hrs to go, chap paid in 30 minutes as most of my transaction have done.
