I did a "Buy it Now" on Ebay for an Adams hybrid last night from a new seller. I clicked on "pay by credit card" and it doesnt want to give me any payment options. Is that likely to be the seller not registered his bank details?

Thanks for any advice

Not sure of the answer to your question, but I'd email the seller and ask the same question. Secondly I'd check out the seller history, if you haven't already done so while waiting for the reply to your mail.

Not exactly an ebay expert but I'd check on the item you've just bought what the sellers accepted payment methods, but it sounds like he hasn't set up paypal on his account yet if he's a new seller.

Thanks, I sent him a message immediately I bought the item, and he has no history at all as it's his first sale. I guess it's just sit and wait

it may be he doesn't take credit card. I sold a club last month and the accept credit card option was checked. I've sold loads I only take paypal, so occasionally you have to manually uncheck that option.

The buyer wanted to pay credit card so I had to explain it was a mistake

As 'Therod' wrote, it could be a mistake in leaving the credit card option ticked, give him a few days to reply to your mail, then send a chaser, if no reply after a week, drop Ebay and the seller a mail explaining and pull out of the purchase.

Could be as a first time ebayer the seller is getting a little bit confused.

If you choose the pay via PayPal option, then you can either log into PayPal and use an account to pay, or usually you get a 'Don't have an account?' option where you can pay via credit or debit card without having to sign up to PayPal.

If you buy a lot through eBay though, it's best to get a PayPal account!

I have a paypal account but there was no further choices after clicking "pay by credit card" which would have been my preference. I can still do Paypal if he responds to my 2 messages

Thanks guys for info
